January 21st

January 21st. That was the day I finally decided enough was enough. I decided that I was overweight, lazy, unhealthy, and miserable. I had made these decisions before but I had never decided to do anything about it. On January 21st, I finally decided to get up off of the couch and change my life.


I made that decision six weeks ago and I think things have gone fairly well. When I weighed in on January 21st, I was 196.4 pounds with 26% body fat. Today I weighed in at 182.2 and 23% body fat. If my math is correct that's 14.2 pounds and 3% body fat lost in roughly 6 weeks. My initial goal was to lose 2 pounds a week so I'm pretty happy with the results so far. I still have a ways to go to reach my first goal of 160 lbs. So the fight continues.


I decided to start this blog as a way to be accountable to myself. I also want to remember where I started and note where I am and write down things that I think will help me get where I'm going.
